Finn Juhl, known for his excellent Danish designs in furniture, was the first designer to get identification from the modern world for his creations in the 1940s. After graduating from Royal Academy of Copenhagen, Juhl had self-taught furniture designs and embraced his designing skills.
After releasing his first design in the 1930's, he started his own business in 1945. He was and still is praised by many for his unique creations and excellent sculptural designs.
Juhl mainly focussed on form rather than functionality. He once said "One cannot create happiness with beautiful objects, but one can spoil quite a lot of happiness with bad ones."
